GOING SOLO
Hey Everyone,
I just wanted
to take a moment to thank you for all the support you've given me over the past few years. The journey of a music career is
basically a huge roller-coaster ride. It's filled with highs and lows and twists and turns. The beautiful thing
is it's always progressing and it's fun as hell! What makes it even better is all the screaming, laughing people who are with
you and along for the ride. To my fans: You all have been the best screaming, laughing people I could have asked to accompany
me on my roller-coaster ride. You all have given me so much happiness and strength. I am flattered by your kind words,
and humbled by the personal stories you've shared with me. Many of you I have never met, yet I feel so close to you. I pray
my music and original lyrics will continue to inspire you and be part of your life. It is so vitally important to me to keep my
music and lyrics true to you and true to myself, and to give you every last bit of my full talent. I love you all, and I would
never want to short-change you. I want to give you my whole voice and my whole heart. I have chosen to leave the band SHYTOWN because
I felt I needed a change to stay true to these promises. It was a difficult decision to make, but a necessary one.
I look ahead
now to writing more of my own songs with good messages and amazing life stories (both personal and from the lives of others),
and to singing my heart out. I've never succumbed to heeding boundaries or limitations. I'm not one to
blend with the background or walk quietly. For my fans and for myself, I will work hard and fight harder in order to share
every last bit of music in me with you and with the world. Love, Tarah New

About Me!
Hey! I'm Tarah New. I've been singing all my life. I haven't gone a day with
out singing since I was about 2. (yes, "twinkle twinkle little star" counts) I'm a Lyrical 1st Soprano with a coloratura
voice. I sing all styles of music: Pop, R&B, Opera, Spanish, Jazz, Blues, Classical, A Cappella, Country... Check out
my YOUTUBE
VIDEOS to see
me perform all these styles live. You can check out my music at: CD

Now here's a little bit about me: I moved to Los Angeles, California about 3 years
ago for my singing career. But I was born and raised in Corpus Christi,
Texas, so I will always be a Southern Girl! I have a tomboy side
and a girlie side. I can throw a football on a perfect spiral and catch one just as good as the boys. I'd much rather stay
home and watch a Dallas Cowboy game than go shopping. (I cry every time they lose the Play Offs..) When I do go shopping I
usually end up buying books, stationary, and writing utensils instead of clothes. I love to write songs, poetry, and just
random thoughts. I LOVE to read. I love putting on jeans and a baseball cap, no makeup, and running around outside in the
sun. I love exploring. I can't stand staying indoors if the sun's out. I love going on aimless walks. I usually end up in
a tree or on a roof or hill top singing to the people-less audience around me (birds, rabbits, deer, etc..) I will never grow
out of collecting stickers! I'm a sucker for rainbows and butterflies. I'll never grow out of those either. I'm too sentimental.
I love animals. Two hours in a pet store goes by like 2 minutes for me. I'm addicted to watching forensic crime scene shows
on Court TV till 3 in the morning. I love making people laugh. I love making myself laugh. I'm a total dork. I'm generally
a happy, easygoing person. I jump at a good challenge. I'm spontaneous, adventurous, daring, curious, and impulsive. That
combination seems like it would be a recipe for disaster, but I keep it in check. I believe in God and try my best to keep
Him happy with me. I'm filled with love and I always try to see the best in people. I'm pretty patient, but if I'm mad
it's impossible for me to hide it. I'm stubborn. If something's on my mind it's impossible for me to keep it in. I'm tough
on the outside but soft on the inside. I'm confident and secure with who I am. I'm all kinds of happy just living this crazy,
adventurous, spontaneous, running-barefoot-in-the-rain kinda life. Every day is an adventure and I never know what to expect.
I love it.
